What is Orwell Fitness?
CrossFit is one of the most effective methods to improve your overall fitness, lose weight and lead a healthier lifestyle. Each session is unique and is completely scalable using techniques from weightlifting, gymnastics and high intensity interval training (HIIT). The coaches at Orwell Fitness guarantee you the most effective workout in Ipswich!
The workouts can be adapted for anyone and everyone. Don’t worry if you have never tried CrossFit before, or if you have never even exercised before, Darren and Kirsty customise each workout to suit your ability and experience. So, no matter what your age, ability or fitness level (from total beginner to experienced athlete), Orwell Fitness will work for you and they even offer a CrossFit kids programme!
Do I have to be fit to start?
Orwell Fitness’ program is designed to be scaled for all ages, levels and fitness abilities. This makes it the perfect training program for any committed individual regardless of experience.
How many times a week do you recommend attending?
We generally recommend 3-5 sessions per week.
What does WOD mean?
The WOD is Orwell Fitness’ “Workout Of the Day”. It is a part of the wider program designed to improve overall strength and conditioning.
What should I bring along to the session?
Wear basic gym clothes that are comfortable and practical to exercise in.
What happens during my Free Trial Session?
You will be welcomed and shown around the gym by one of the coaches and they will guide you through the hour, explaining the details of the sessions and movements thoroughly. Together with other members you will complete a warm up, skill/strength component and then the WOD.
What does scalable mean?
It means we can adapt the workout to suit your, or anyone’s level of fitness and ability.
Do you have shower facilities?
Yes, we have 2 showers with individual changing areas. We also have 2 toilets, 1 with disabled access. You will need to supply your own towels and wash supplies.
